Description

In this course, participants will discuss the importance of having policies and procedures in place to address potential ethical concerns of members. Policies discussed include code of conduct, whistleblower, and conflict of interest statements. Participants will also learn how to avoid using subjective and unenforceable language in their policies and the importance of applying those policies consistently.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the need for a code of conduct, whistleblower policy, and a conflict-of-interest statement.
  2.  Recognize subjective and unenforceable language in a code of conduct.
  3. Understand the importance of due process when an ethics violation is raised.

As a CAE Registered Provider educational program related to the CAE exam content outline, this program may be applied for 1 credit toward your CAE application or renewal professional development requirements.   

Note: Applicants may use any program that meets eligibility requirements in the specific timeframe towards the exam application or renewal. There are no specific individual courses required as part of the applications – the selection of eligible education is up to the applicant based on his/her needs.
